Via Appia Antica

The Via Appia Antica.
Old Roman road, begun in the 4th century BC, eventually to connect Rome with Brindisi in the south of Italy. The first ten kilometers of the Via Appia are now part of a protected regional park and form an ideal location for hours of hiking or biking within a pastoral setting, alongside ancient ruins, where apparently time stood still.
