Frédéric Chopin

Père-Lachaise

Tomb of Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849) in the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Chopin is not only a key figure of the Romantic period, he also remains one of the most original composers the world has ever known. A Pole who settled in Paris following the Russian suppression of the November Uprising (1830) in his country, Chopin leaves an incomporable legacy of mainly piano music and died in the French capital barely 39. His grave remains a frequently visited spot at Père-Lachaise and is always covered with flowers.
