Invalides

Ceiling and dome of the Invalides church.
Designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart in the last quarter of the 17th century and completed in 1706. Frescoes by Charles de La Fosse (1705) decorate the cupola.
The church of the Invalides is now a main tourist attraction because of the tomb of Napoleon, located centrally under the dome.
