Musikverein in Vienna

Golden Hall of the Musikverein.
The main hall of the Vienna Musikverein (the Viennese Music Association) is one of the world's most famous concert venues. Not surprisingly, it is known as the "Golden Hall". The building was designed by Theophil Hansen and inaugurated in 1870, remaining one of Vienna's iconic sights as a capital of music. The main hall of the Musikverein with its shoebox shape is especially renowned for its acoustics and offers 1.744 seats. It is the home of the Vienna Philharmonic and hosts among others the annual Vienna New Year's Concert.
